Bondholder Derby Conference Centre has been selected to host a major Department for International Trade (DIT) event in the build up to InnoTrans 2018 – the largest event in the rail calendar.

InnoTrans is the leading international trade fair for transport technology and takes place every two years in Berlin. The main event occupies all 41 halls available at Berlin Exhibition Grounds, is sub-divided into five trade fair segments and is supported by The InnoTrans Convention.

On 6 September, DIT will be hosting the pre-event designed to inform companies involved in the rail sector why the InnoTrans exhibition should be part of their business planning this year, as well as how to both prepare for and maximise their visit.

Guest speakers and visitors include:

-       Neil Walker, Exports Director, Rail Industry Association
-       Lucy Prior, Rail Alliance
-       Elaine Clark, Midlands Rail Forum
-       Andrew Hinton, Specialist on Rail in Asia and Canada
-       Mike Shears, Specialist on Rail in the Middle East

Delegates will also hear from rail sector specialists from a number of countries discussing their motivations for attending InnoTrans, and the opportunities available within their particular markets.

Alongside this, DIT representatives will be available to help explore and advise on other international rail opportunities and discuss access to funding to support future visits.
