To deepest, darkest Peru

Bondholder TecInteractive has recently won a contract to supply two interactive conference room systems to Jorge Chavez International Airport in Lima, Peru.

TecInteractive were asked to assist by fellow bondholder Turner & Townsend.

Turner & Townsend are assisting Lima Airport Partners (LAP) with the digital set up of their Airport Delivery Programme (ADP); this is a 6 year programme that will see the airport expand with a 2nd runway and supporting infrastructure. The client will deliver the programme in a  collaborative working method by utilising Building information Modelling (BIM).  BIM is a process where the client and its supply chain communicate and collaborate around a data rich, 3D model of the asset that is being designed and built.

This is a new way of working in South America and the skills to help do this don’t exist in the country; they are reliant on experts in the UK.  The design team is outside South America in the USA and Spain.  Communication around the design needs to happen in real time and the 3D model needs to be seen by the entire team.

Tom Bamford of TecInteractive said “We provided pre-sales technical support and supplied two 75” Interactive SMART screens with video conferencing cameras, microphones and speakers, plus meeting room booking touch panels which integrate with Outlook so the client can manage bookings more effectively.  The equipment was shipped to Lima as a complete door-to-door service, including customs clearance using an agent.”

“We have been trying to localise our customer base and work with more clients in the East Midlands area, so we were delighted to get an opportunity in from South America!”
