A number of Bondholders were nominated for accolades in Insider Media's Dealmaker Awards and, of course, it's no surprise that some won!

Advisory Team of the Year - Smith Cooper
A strong 12 months for Smith Cooper. Among the deals that it guided safely home were the sales of Premier Electrical Services and EPM Technology, and led a stream of successful turnarounds such as SBA and Energy & Security.
SME Deal of the Year
Winner: 200 Degrees' £3m development capital deal (team: Foresight Group, HSBC Bank, PKF Cooper Parry, Haines Watts, Fraser Brown, Shakespeare Martineau, Smith Cooper, Pragma Consulting). This investment, led by Foresight, allowed this Derby-based coffee shop chain to go on a nationwide expansion while building a wholesale business and online retail.

Winner: Acquisition of BWB by CAF Group (team: Mazars, Freeths)
One of the best international deals in the East Midlands for some time. This team helped Basque railway supplier CAF buy Nottingham engineering group BWB Consulting.
Dealmaker of the Year
Winner: Paul Bevan, Mazars
Often shortlisted for his excellent M&A work with both Mazars and Tenon, Paul wins the prestigious Dealmaker's trophy for 2018. A real expert in the SME sector, among the many transactions he has overseen during the year have been the acquisition of BWB by CAF, Tarkwa snapping up of Gee Tee Signs and growth investment in Badgemaster.
