Showcase of collaborative working from Derby College

Bondholder Derby College has showcased the work that is being done with a wide range of local, regional and national businesses as part of its innovative Employer Academy programme.

Representatives from fellow Bondholder Derbyshire County Cricket Club, and Bondholder HUUB as well as Rail Forum East Midlands spoke about the benefits to their businesses of working with Derby College to help prepare students for the world of work.

Young people who have undertaken work placements, site visits, special projects and attended specialist lectures also spoke about their future plans and how this will help them in their future career and Higher Education plans.

Derby College works in partnership with more than 3,000 employers – many of which are involved in the Employment and Skills Academy and Employer Academy programmes which are designed to bridge the gap between education and the workplace – providing students with the skills and attitudes that employers require.
