On hand to support approximately 1,400 vehicles of all shapes and sizes – 800 of which are corporately owned, with an additional 600 maintained on behalf of other organisations including emergency services – FleetWave will be used to manage entire vehicle lifecycles.
Derbyshire County Council chose FleetWave to replace its previous out-dated management system after evaluating several software solutions. Specifically, Derbyshire’s procurement manager was looking for “an internally hosted fleet and workshop management solution, with associated support services” to efficiently manage its fleet.
Additional services include data migration; implementation; training; consultancy; maintenance and ongoing technical support.
Home to a large variety of vehicles and assets – from HGVs to cars, vans and flatbeds – Derbyshire County Council’s fleet is responsible for the creation of approximately 13,500 workshop jobs per year.
Once implemented, FleetWave will be used to support 70 system users based across five different sites, located in both back office environments and workshops, and will be integrated with its finance system, SAP.
David Gladding, Global Sales and Marketing Director at Chevin, said: “FleetWave’s comprehensive capabilities will be used to automate and streamline a large number of manual and labor-intensive processes at Derbyshire County Council, to effectively manage the entire lifecycles of each vehicle and asset within its fleet.
“We are pleased to be able to help Derbyshire County Council meet its fleet management needs.”
