Significant progress continues to be made on Derby’s New Swimming Pool Complex that will be built on the Moorways site.
Demolition of the old buildings is now complete ahead of construction commencing later in the year.
The New Swimming Pool Complex will include a 50m ten lane pool, learner pool, leisure water,
sauna & steam, gym, exercise studios, soft play and multi-use rooms.
On the progress Councillor Baggy Shanker said: “This is an ambitious facility for our City and it will make a great replacement, delivering far more than our previous swimming facilities. I’m proud to say that we remain on track to open this New Swimming Pool Complex to the public in 2020. It will be a successful project that will make Derby an even greater place to live, work and visit.”
