Bondholder Riverlights has unveiled Derby’s only full motion LED screen.
The digital LED media screen is on The Riverlights, where occupiers include Bondholder Holiday Inn, Premier Inn, Genting Casino, Bustler Market and Gym City. The screen is highly visible from East Street, one of Derby city’s most popular pedestrian walkways and has been installed by SIS Digital on behalf of building owners, Moorfield Real Estate Fund III.
The new screen, measuring 4.8m wide and 6.8m high, has in-built wireless and near-field capability. It boasts 5,500 Network Integration Transmission Services (NITS), ensuring the images are displayed in the highest quality at all times, whilst the 10mm Surface-Mounted-Device (SMD) LED panels incorporate full motion smart screen technology. As well as being the only full motion screen in Derby, it is also the only screen in the large format digital roadside category.
Andrew Simister, UK Sales at SIS Digital, said: “Even though we have installed a number of screens in Derby, the completion of The Riverlights is a key moment for the city, with its first full motion LED screen sitting right at its heart.
“We worked closely with the city council to ensure we were granted planning permission, and what we promised in terms of a blue print was what we subsequently delivered.”
Mark Holmes, Head of Asset Management at Moorfield, who manage Riverlights said: “As part of the investment’s scheme of improvements works we are very pleased to see the screen unveiled. It is one of the main routes to the nearby Intu and at the entrance to Riverlights, and it will be seen by tens of thousands of people each and every week.”
