Over 50% of new development sold

Birchover Sales and Lettings has announced that more than 50% at the exciting Kings Crescent development have now been sold off-plan eight months ahead of completion.

Kings Crescent, a building project by Nine Investments, comprises 45 apartments and two town houses, located just north of Derby city centre on Duffield Road. The crescent is being constructed to look similar to the classic crescents seen in Bath and Leamington Spa and has a mix of studio, one and two bedroom apartments. Two town houses are also being built facing Edward Street.

All of the studio and one bedroom apartments have now been sold. Interest is strong in the remaining two bedroom apartments and especially the penthouse apartments. Both town houses will also be released on sale shortly, with the opportunity for the buyers to influence the design of the ground floor living space.

The remaining two bedroom apartments are on sale at £185,000, with the different-sized penthouses on the market at £225,000 and £250,000 with the largest being sold for £280,000. The town houses will be available at £250,000 and £260,000.

Kings Crescent is on track for completion in May 2019, with residents moving in during June 2019.

Carl Bridge, co-owner of Birchover Sales and Lettings, said "We're so pleased that this magnificent building has been so well-received"

Developer Grace Construction is headed by Stuart Bennett, who for many years has lived only a two minute walk from Kings Crescent. Stuart is passionate about creating a building which looks fantastic and which fits the quality architecture of the Strutts Park Conservation Area.

All apartments will have high-quality kitchens and bathrooms supplied by local specialist Creative Interiors, who are based right across the road from Kings Crescent, whilst the architects and virtually all suppliers are located within a short drive of Derby. It truly is a Derby success story.

Construction began last year with the modification of a train tunnel into a secure underground car park. On Thursday 7th June the crane which had arrived earlier that week was officially opened by John Forkin, the Managing Director of Marketing Derby.

This is the first development being carried out by Grace Construction, who have been emboldened by the success and are considering several future opportunities.
