Derby Properties Win Big

The Insider East Midlands Property Dinner took place this month, celebrating the strength of the region's property and construction sectors with a number of Derby-based companies and sites walking away as winners.

Derby City Council won the Design Excellence Award for the iHub at the 100-acre Enterprise Zone, Infinity Park Derby.

Compendium Living's 180-home Castleward scheme won the Regeneration and Restoration Project of the Year Award. Castleward was recognised as a catalyst for the regeneration of a key site between the railway station and city centre.

The National Construction Academy, run by Hodgkinson Builders, was awarded the Skills and Apprenticeship Scheme accolade, with the company addressing skills shortages in the construction industry.

Cathedral Court, a student accommodation scheme involving Prosperity Capital Partners and the University of Derby, walked away with the highly coveted Property Deal of the Year Award.

Prosperity Capital Partners successfully built Cathedral Court, a 350-unit student accommodation scheme. This was commenced without an operator, but ended up receiving a nomination from the University before being sold to institutional investor Aviva for £20.3 million.
