Bondholder Archer Hampson, is celebrating the launch of a new website that’s already making travel to Edinburgh easier for thousands of tourists visiting the city.
Developed for Edinburgh Trams, EdinburghTicket.com promotes and sells a special ticket aimed at tourists travelling between Edinburgh Airport and Edinburgh city centre. As well as value-for-money return tram travel, the ticket also provides a range of discounts at top attractions across Scotland’s capital.
Archer Hampson built the Edinburgh Ticket website to feature a simple-to-use pay and print-at-home function, enabling tourists to purchase tickets for tram travel in advance of their trip to Edinburgh. The site also includes other key information including maps and tram timetables.
Jack Williams, Creative Director at Archer Hampson, said: “This was a major project that had to be completed in a tight timeframe with numerous factors to take into consideration including web development, e-commerce and SEO.
“We’re delighted to see, only days after its official launch, that the site is already attracting thousands of customers and generating big additional ticket sales for one of our key clients.
“We’ve formed a creative and rewarding relationship with Edinburgh Trams, delivering a number of customer facing campaigns over the past year. We also have a number of exciting and innovative projects we’re working on with Edinburgh Trams, and we look forward to announcing the launch of those in the next few months.”
Lea Harrison, Managing Director of Edinburgh Trams, added: “The Edinburgh Ticket website makes it easy for those visiting Edinburgh to book their travel and print out their ticket at home, allowing them to plan ahead and make the most of their time in the city.
“From technical know-how to project management the team at Archer Hampson provided us with the invaluable expertise needed to launch this website. We look forward to continuing our work with them on many more projects going forward.”
