The founder of Annie's Burger Shack in Nottingham says it will be opening its Derby branch next year.
Anmarie Spaziano's firm got the go-ahead to convert a grade-two-listed church in Friary Street in December last year. Now further details have been confirmed with work set to get underway this year, ahead of a 2018 opening date.
The church, dating from the 1930s, has been empty for several years and will provide a stunning backdrop for diners.
Annie’s Burger Shack is a major success story on Nottingham’s independent dining scene. Starting as a pop-up in a pub, Annie’s opened its doors in the Lace Market, quickly establishing itself as a destination. Now Anmarie is set to bring the concept to Derby.
The restaurant will create up to 70 jobs.
