BAFTA-Nominated Company Expands into Friar Gate

A 4,500 sq ft office in a historic Grade II listed 19th Century building has been sold to a BAFTA-nominated game developer, in a deal brokered by Bondholders FHP Property Consultants and Rigby & Co

Strawdog Studios has moved to 99 Friar Gate, a building owned by Bondholder Clowes Developments, as part of its plans for expansion.

Paul Smith from Strawdog Studios said: “99 Friar Gate will be a perfect city centre base for the studio as we continue to execute our plans to grow the team and develop our mobile games publishing business over the next few years.”

Tim Richardson from FHP Property Consultants, added: “We had a lot of interest in the property from people looking to convert it into flats, but always felt that the best result would be to retain the building largely as existing as it will create a fantastic working environment once refurbishment works have been completed.”
