Rachel Morris, Chapter Steward at Bondholder Derby Cathedral, has been shortlisted in the Property and Facilities Management category of the national WeAreTheCity Rising Star Awards.
The Rising Star Awards, now in their third year, are the only awards to solely focus on the UK’s female talent pipeline. They celebrate 100 individual female contributors who represent the future leaders and role models of tomorrow across twenty different industries.
The Awards are run in partnership with The Times.
When asked about her nomination, Rachel said: "I was surprised and pleased to be nominated for this award and now I am delighted to be shortlisted.
"I feel very proud of Derby and of our lovely Cathedral. I feel I am just "doing my job"....which I consider important to ensure Derby Cathedral is just as beautiful and accessible for generations to come.
"Having been shortlisted I am now keen to win and hope I can provide encouragement particularly to other females in a similar roles".
Judges will decide the overall winner, however the public can show their support by voting for nominees.
