MD Chairman Honoured

Bondholder University of Derby has announced the five people set to receive honorary degrees - including Marketing Derby Chairman Bob Betts, also MD of Smith of Derby and Operations Director of Warwick International Computing Systems.  He will be receive an Honorary Doctorate at the ceremony in July.


Former Chief Executive of Bondholder Derby Hospitals NHS Trust, Sue James, will receive an Honorary Doctorate in recognition of her services to health.

Paul Stein, Director of Research and Technology for Bondholder Rolls-Royce will receive an Honorary Doctorate in recognition of his contribution to the development of the region's manufacturing and engineering industries and aeronautical science.

Founder of Derby Jazz, Geoff Wright, and Derby-born Archers star Patricia Green MBE will both become Honorary Masters.

All of these notable figures have made an exceptional impact on their industry or city and I am delighted to confer their awards alongside our graduating students this summer.

The Award Ceremonies will take place on 12, 13 and 14 July 2017 at Bondholder Derby Arena.
