20 bondholder teams took part in the Central Health Derby 10K on 9th April, organised by fellow bondholder Sporting Futures.
Now the results are in, the first ever Bondholder League is live, and Sporting Futures are thrilled to announce Toyota Motor Manufacturing UK as this year’s winning bondholder! After coming third in the overall Business Team Challenge, ‘The runner in front is from Toyota’ team have scooped the victory, beating off competition from their own colleagues and other teams from around the city.
There was more inter-company battles as DCFC Stadium leapfrogged DCFC Academy to claim 4th place, and Flint Bishop climbed the ranks from 13th in the overall challenge to take 3rd place amongst other bondholders. Geldards LLP also jumped up a huge 22 places to grab a top ten spot.
Rolls Royce Digital proved that the tortoise is in fact faster than the hare, with 5 Rolls Royce teams in total taking on the 10K challenge, giving them the title for most overall runners entered, along with some of the most inventive team names!
Points were awarded to bondholders based on numbers of runners in each team, along with their finishing times.
The winning team at Toyota are entitled to a free team entry into next year’s event, where we hope to see more bondholders take on the challenge. Thanks to all this year’s business teams who came out in force to support Sporting Futures’ biggest event and fundraiser.
