Derby named in top ten

Derby has once again been named top ten as an ideal location — this time by — as a place to make a living for 2016.

Instead of basing points on scenery, culture or connections, the guide focuses on cost of living versus salaries paid and whether or not the job market is healthy.

Derby was the highest-ranking city in the East Midlands and ranks as one of the highest areas in general for take home pay. The guide also cites that unemployment rates are low at 5.4%, suggesting a healthy job market.
