The world's largest achievement awards scheme, The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award Foundation, enrolled leading IT services provider and Bondholder GCI to transform its IT infrastructure.
The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award Foundation, which equips more than one million young people for life and work each year, is now kitted out with a cloud and connectivity-based solution. The Foundation is now able to offer remote desktop-hosted working from any of its four offices.
Mike Health, the Foundation's Head of Information Management, said: "By moving to GCI's cloud, we've definitely improved the physical security aspects of our technology, alongside many other benefits."
Phil Hambly, Chief Marketing Officer at GCI, said: "Working collaboratively, we helped transform the technology environment, but the scheme itself is the real star of the show for the transformational effect it has on young lives."
Bondholder GCI also agreed on a five-year contract with the Foundation to provide a high-speed connection and back-up connection installation.
