Council seeks development sites

Bondholder Derby City Council is asking local residents, businesses, land owners and developers to identify potential sites suitable for housing or employment development.

16,388 new homes and 199 hectares of new employment land are needed in Derby by 2028.

Councillor Martin Rawson, Deputy Leader of Derby City Council, said: "The Council's Part 1 Core Strategy, which is nearing completion, goes a long way to meeting these needs and some are being met outside the city, in Amber Valley and South Derbyshire. We're now appealing for suggestions for new additional sites for new housing, offices and industry/warehousing. Sites in any location can be submitted, but need to be large enough for at least five homes for 0.5 hectares of business developments."

Submissions are accepted until 31st August 2016 via the Council's planning pages.
