The UK's fastest growing data analytics company, Bondholder Aquila Insight, has chosen Bondholder Connect Derby's Sadler Gate Studios as its newest UK base thanks to the city's excellent connectivity and commitment to innovation.
The firm was founded in 2012 and now brings in a massive £4.2million turnover after capitalising on the modern business need for data. Bondholder Aquila Insight now employs more than 75 staff in its UK offices and is continuing to grow rapidly.
Chris Dobson, formerly a global director with Sony Mobile, will head up the Derby office. He commented: "We have been really impressed by Derby's focus on bringing new industry to the city and investing in infrastructure to build a connected hub. Our office at Sadler Bridge Studios has one of the fastest internet speeds in the country so it's a brilliant place to be based."
The data firm has an impressive and growing portfolio of recognisable brands including Sony, Tesco Bank and RBS.
John Brodie and Warwick Beresford-Jones launched the company with the determination to create a new kind of analytics consultancy whose commercially-intelligent analysts would translate data into actionable insights.
Warwick said: "Big data is forecast to add over £241billion to the economy by 2020 and the UK has the opportunity to be a world leader in big data and analytics. Ultimately, all organisations want to know what's happening with their customers, what is going to change and what they need to do to be successful in future. We do that quickly and effectively.
Aquila Insight stands apart from competitors thanks to its combination of commercial data scientists and in-house analytically-developed technology solutions. It has built its own data analytics platform, Discovery, making it possible to process large volumes of data securely and at speed.
