Director Shari Setayesh, said: “Like many firms we raise funds each year for a number of charities, but I wanted to actually get involved in a programme of activity that was close to my heart and I’ve always enjoyed working with and mentoring young people."
April Hayhurst, Deputy Principle, employer and economic affairs at Derby College, said: “Our Employment and Skills Academy is designed to ensure all Derby College learners are prepared to make a smooth transition from education to employment and meet the needs of employers.
“Students will follow a journey of learning at Derby College and take part in an extra programme of employer engagement activities. This unique combination of learning and employer engagement ensures that our learners gain the skills, attitudes and knowledge employers need from young people in the workplace.
“It’s essential we have business support to make this a success and its down to companies like YMD Boon who help to nurture young individuals giving them great start to their career.”
