Three big names have all recently secured space at RTC Business Park which is owned by Bondholder LCR.

Companies include Hitachi Europe Ltd, Serco Group and Network Rail and were brokered by property consultancy Innes England.

LCR is - in conjunction with fellow Bondholder Derby City Council - using the allocation of the government's Regional Growth Fund to invest in the park to create economic growth and sustainable employment.

European technology giant Hitachi has taken 4,500 sq ft of refurbished office accommodation within Derwent House. From data storage solutions to transportation systems, Hitachi provides products, services and solutions to every sector of the European market.

Serco Group, the outsourcing services company with its head office in Hampshire, has taken just over 9,000 sq ft of refurbished space within Derwent House. Serco operates public and private transport and traffic control, aviation, military weapons, detention centres, prisons and schools on behalf of its customers.

Network Rail, which owns and operates the railway network, has taken five of the six floors at Brunel House on the business park totalling a considerable 15,800 sq ft.

Nick Hosking, Director at Bondholder Innes England, said: “RTC Business Park continues to attract interest from businesses wanting office accommodation with parking just outside the city centre and we are delighted to have secured a hat-trick of substantial deals at the park.”

He continues: “Securing the lets just after completion of a full refurbishment illustrates how investing in refurbishment can be rewarded with good quality lets and also demonstrates the increased confidence in Derby's commercial property market.”

RTC Business Park is one of the principal engineering employment centres in Derby with direct access to the A6 and is close to the railway station.
