Derby Rated Best City in Midlands

Derby has ranked 23rd in an independent report from leading comparison website uSwitch.

uSwitch looked at on 138 locations in the UK to show the best places to live against 26 different lifestyle factors. These included:

• average working hours;
• life expectancy;
• hours of sunshine;
• food and energy bills;
• disposable income.

Derby beat its local neighbours including Coventry (28th), Birmingham (35th), Sheffield (48th), Leicester (101st) and Nottingham (102nd).

Certainly a nod towards Derby as an ideal location to work and live, with the city rising 14 ranks for this year's report.
