On Monday 8th June, Marketing Derby hosted Marcus Stuttard and Mark Fahy of AIM at the University of Derby, who together provided an update on the market in its 20th anniversary year.
The event, co-sponsored by Freeths, highlighted how Alternative Investment Market (AIM) is now the largest market of its kind in the world and as a comparison almost 10 times larger than its nearest rival in europe.
Stuttard noted that the Alternative Investment Market was expanding, with small to medium enterprises taking advantage of this stock option.
With its simplified regulations and tax breaks, AIM offers a great source of capital for fast-growing SMEs. AIM has had a number of high-profile successes, including online fashion retailer ASOS.
