Delivering on key social issues and creating a legacy for future generations
Developing the right skills and aspirations in young people, the workforce of the future is a significant issue for businesses in Derby - this is where the Marketing Derby Bondholder Future Talent Fund comes in.
The Future Talent Fund is a rewarding way to invest in Derby's talent of tomorrow. Administered by Foundation Derbyshire, the Fund provides a simple mechanism for Marketing Derby Bondholders to invest and support young talent.
The recipients of the Fund, groups or organisations, will be decided by the Marketing Derby Bondholder Fund Panel. The panel will meet annually to agree on projects and every six months, Foundation Derbyshire will provide and update on the project's progress.

81% of all subscriptions will be distributed each year as grants, delivering immediately on key social issues, while 10% of subscriptions will be invested in the Bondholder Future Talent Endowment Fund, which will create a legacy for funding projects for future generations. The remaining 9% will be used to cover administration costs.
As we build the size of the Fund through Bondholder subscriptions, we will be able to consider additional projects. Priority will be given to projects that have the capacity to be replicated across the city, and provide opportunities to provide further in-kind (e.g. employee engagement) or pro bono support for our Bondholders.
We have two projects for 2016:
The vision of Enthusiasm is to see all young people fulfil their true potential in life by diverting them from crime, raising aspirations and building self-esteem.
The young people they support are socially excluded and their complex needs and family lifestyles hold them within a negative cycle, which contribues to poverty and lifelong problems.
Enthusiasm delivers core programmes to fully engage and support young people from local communities, which include mentoring, family support, education and universal youth work.
Aim Pi in a not-for-profit organisation that aspires to inspire schools across Derby to take up creative computing.
Using Raspberry Pi computers as the tools for schools projects, Aim Pi provides the necessary resources to schools to help start after-school computing clubs, aimed at a range of abilities.
With support from a range of partner organisations, Aim Pi is hoping to provide access to creative computing clubs for every child aged 9-14 in Derby's primary and secondary schools.
