Bowmer & Kirkland Lands £44m Contract

Bondholder Bowmer & Kirkland has won the contract to build Loughborough University’s new student complex.

Bowmer and Kirkland bid £44m to build the 600-room development which is being built to secure Loughborough’s place as a centre for high-level athletics.

The scheme will be built on a site next to the existing High Performance Athletics Centre, and will include around 70 student athlete rooms and 40 elite athlete rooms.

The development, when fully operational will result in the creation of between 30 and 50 new jobs and is scheduled for completion by September 2019.
