Bondholder Bombardier has been hailed by a government minister as a company that shows why the UK is the best place in the world to do business.
After visiting the Litchurch Lane site, Greg Hands, Minister of International Trade, said "Bombardier's site at Derby shows clearly why the UK remains one of the best places in the world to do business.
"From innovative battery-powered trains to multi-billion pound Crossrail projects, we will continue to support companies like Bombardier, driving UK exports and attracting inward investment."
During his visit, the Minister noted that the city plays an important role in the rail sector, housing the world's largest rail cluster.
Richard Hunter, Managing Director of Bombardier Transportation UK, said: 'We were delighted to welcome Mr Hands to our site in Derby to see some of the great products designed and manufactured by our highly-skilled staff."
