Peaty guest speaker at future sporting talent event

A launch event for "20:20 Vision" from The Derbyshire Institute of Sport's (DIS), will be held at Bondholder Derby Museum's Silk Mill on Wednesday 12th October from 7pm-midnight.  City of Derby swimmer, Adam Peaty, Rio 2016 Olympic gold medallist, will be sharing his experiences at this year's Games alongside DIS' incredible 2016 Olympians. 

The cocktail reception will be followed by a four-course meal and will be hosted by former Olympic gymnast and Commonwealth gold medallist Craig Heap.

The ambitious plan aims to ensure that the top 20 athletes and coaches from Derbyshire become world class by 2020 and is aiming to raise £250,000 per year to continue the success of the programme.  

The last four years have seen 16 athletes progress onto World Class programmes, 49 athletes become national champions, 28 athletes have won international medal and 3 coaches have been recognised as world class.

Partnerships have already been secured with many local organisations including Bondholders University of DerbyHUUBDerbyshire Sport and Derby City Council

Tickets for this unique event cost £50pp (plus VAT) and tables of 8 are also available and will include entertainment throughout the evening and a chance to interact with some of our future world class athletes and coaches.
