— Andy Cliffe, Managing Director at East Midlands Airport

East Midlands Airport is the UK's largest pure freight airport (which means the cargo is carried on aircraft designed specially for that cargo) and is the main UK hub for DHL, UPS and TNT as well as handling more than a quarter of the Royal Mail's first-class air-mail each day.

Managing Director Andy Cliffe said: “These recent figures are very welcome. The airport plays a major role in regional growth and economic benefit, particularly in the provision of jobs, and the cargo side of our business is one that is seeing significant growth.”

East Midlands Airport has daily connections which link the UK with Europe, Asia and America.
