QUAD's Best Month Ever

Share this post:

Bondholder Derby QUAD saw its record best ever month with almost 12,000 people in cinema audiences beating its previous record from January 2013.

Adam Marsh, QUAD Cinema Programmer said: “A perfect combination of a stirring British period drama (Suffragette), a dash of Bond (Spectre) and a crowd-pleasing favourite (The Lady in the Van) helped us achieve our best ever month for admissions in the cinema.”

He continues: “Traditionally January and February are a good couple of months for the Box Office, as many of the strongest films are released just ahead of the annual Academy Awards ceremony. This year we had a good beginning of the year with Unbroken, The Theory Of Everything, Birdman, Whiplash and Selma. The summer saw some strong family films at QUAD, such as Jurassic World, Minions and Inside Out. But the QUAD cinema foyers have been buzzing since October and it looks like Star Wars will keep them busy this December and into the New Year.”
