Arts Council England Funding Success

Two providers of entertainment in Derby have been awarded funding from the Arts Council England to fund initiatives to improve and grow.

Marketing Derby Bondholders Sinfonia Viva and QUAD have each received funding which totals almost £300,000 for future projects.

Sinfonia Viva is to get a £179,585 grant towards the purchase of a £211,000 inflatable mobile stage and auditorium which seats up to 250 people.

This inflatable structure will effectively give us our own venue for the first time and will enable us to take our work out of the concert hall and into the heart of communities - particularly rural areas who do not have performance venues.
— Peter Helps, Chief Executive at Sinfonia Viva

In addition, Bondholder QUAD has been awarded £119,962 to boost its digital DNA and to increase accessibility for audiences.

QUAD are delighted to have been successful in our bid to increase our capacity to engage audiences with digital technology. Digital media is part of QUAD’s DNA and this further develops our opportunities to inspire and engage audiences.
— Adam Buss, CEO at QUAD
