One of the city's longest-standing independent restaurants, Zest, has announced it will be moving into its new home in the Bell Hotel on Sadlergate.

As part of the Bell's £1.2 million redevelopment and restoration, Zest will be taking the place of the café and tea rooms currently present in the hotel.

“Zest will continue with the same style of food, ethos and values which saw us win Derby’s Restaurant of the Year for two years running.”
— Hayley Baddiley, Co-owner at Zest

Having now ten years of operation and various local awards, accolades and mentions in the Michelin Guide and the Good Food Guide under its belt, owner of the Bell Hotel, Paul Hurst, welcomed the opportunity.

“We’re really excited to be the new home for Zest in the city. I’ve always thought Zest would do better in a more visible location and when I was approached about the possibility of it becoming our flagship food brand as part of the overall eating, drinking and events offer at The Bell, I jumped at the chance!”
— Paul Hurst, Owner at The Bell Hotel
