The £400 million Peak Resort near Chesterfield has received a significant funding boost from UK and US investors to create a "world-class" leisure development.

Creating 1,300 full-time jobs, the all-weather sport, health and education development features an 18-hole golf course and will include 600 holiday apartments, hotel, hostel units and 250 woodland lodges.

This is fantastic news and will totally transform both the economy and the tourism offer of Chesterfield and the Peak District.

Construction is planned to roll out over three-and-a-half years.
