— Ian McCormick, IT Director at Derby College

Bondholder Derby College has teamed up with risual Limited to open a new academy to address a shortage of digitally skilled employees, and to bridge the skills gap.

The new academy will aim to improve skills for both teachers and students and will provide a high-tech learning environment, offer students Microsoft qualification college-wide to enhance employability and feature guest workshops with industry experts.

Derby College is the second college in the UK to launch a risual Academy and D2N2 is interested in heavily investing in skills through both new initiatives and financing as part of the Local Enterprise Partnership's work to boost economic growth and jobs across its area which includes Derby and Derbyshire.
