Bondholder, Mercia Marina, has exceeded all expectations by filling all available units at it's new £1.7 million Boardwalk development just two months after opening.

At launch, businesses included The Boardwalk Bar & Restaurant, women's fashion store Blue Water, Molly & Co accessories store, Elegant Touch Beauty and The Butcher Baker farm shop.

These companies have since been joined by Zing Furniture and Annie & George which sells children's clothing and giftware.

The most significant win for the marina was a pharmaceutical firm, Biconical, which leased the entire upper floor for office space, originally designed to accommodate up to four small businesses.

The next goal was to find several “floating” businesses for the six commercial moorings the marina has permission to trade from.

The Ideal Hamper Company is already trading from one of these moorings where “children ages 0 to 100 years” are invited to paint ceramics. A negotiation is also taking place with an estate agent looking to potentially venture into the marina.
