Rolls-Royce Selected by Air Europa for $1.1 Billion Order

We are delighted that Air Europa has once again selected the Trent 1000.
— Mark Harrison, Vice President - Customer Business, Civil Large Engines at Rolls-Royce

Another week, another Rolls-Royce order to add to their order book. However, this week it's a big one - $1.1 Billion in fact.

Rolls-Royce has been chosen by Spanish carrier Air Europa for Trent 1000 engines and TotalCare long-term service support for 14 new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. This is in addition to eight Trent 1000-powered 787-8s on order to enter service in 2016.

We have plans to further expand our long-haul service and the Trent 1000 will deliver excellent economics through its performance and support service.
— Juan Jose Hidalgo, President of Globalia, the parent company of Air Europa
