Clough Haunt Gets New Life

After a delayed start, Bondholder Derby Brewing Company has finally started work on its £1 million refurbishment project which will breathe new life into Kedleston Hotel.

The Grade II listed building has been boarded up since Autumn 2010, but will a bar where the reception area once was, a sweeping staircase, an orangery and a Georgian-style garden area.

We have always believed and been very excited about our vision for this project and what the building can be once again.
— Paul Harris, Owner of Derby Brewing Company

The hotel refurbishment will turn 14 small hotel rooms into five boutique bedrooms to the rear which will make themes of views over the Derbyshire countryside. The building will also feature open fires, restored wood panelling and a separate restaurant area, expected to open Spring 2015.

We look forward to it becoming a charming place to meet friends and to enjoy good food, and to the Kedleston Hotel becoming alive again.
