Aquatic Centre to Begin Construction this Year
|
|
Marketing Derby Bondholder Derby City Council has announced that an Aquatic Centre, including an Olympic-sized swimming pool, is set to begin construction this year.
The pool is part of the Council’s £50m leisure strategy, which also includes a £20m sports arena and velodrome which has already begun construction on Pride Park.
The pool will be situated next to the Riverlights complex, which is home to the city’s main bus station as well as fellow Bondholders Genting Club, Holiday Inn Riverlights and Hampton by Hilton.
The bus station could also be extended as part of the project to include more spaces for coaches and an enclosed area leading onto the swimming pool. Completion date for the swimming pool complex is expected to be around late-summer 2015.

Derby Ready for World International Property Show
|
|
A strong Derby delegation, led by City Leader Paul Bayliss, will once again be flying the flag for the city at world’s largest property show, MIPIM.
Held in Cannes, France, the week-long –show brings together the most influential players and investors from the major international property sectors.
The delegation will be hosting several events throughout the week to raise the profile of the city and release special announcements about forthcoming investments in the city centre.
Marketing Derby have also teamed up with sister companies, Invest in Derbyshire and Invest in Nottingham under the banner of the LEP (Local Enterprise Partnership) D2N2, to promote the region at a stand in the major exhibition auditorium.

Marketing Derby Bondholder Orchid IT has been rebranded into GCI following the takeover of the Derby-based company last year – and are set to celebrate by hosting HRH The Duke of Kent this week.

Bondholder's Residential Expertise Praised

Marketing Derby Bondholder BSP Consulting has been appointed to a framework by a housing group planning to build more than 1,500 homes over the next three years.
The civil and structural engineering company, has been selected as part of the Bromford Group Consultants Framework which will focus on residential projects across the UK including Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Derby and Derbyshire.
BSP Consulting Business Development Director Jef Todd said, “Being selected for the Bromford Group framework is a significant appointment for BSP Consulting.”
“It was a competitive process to secure a place on the framework, and we are delighted that BSP is one of the three successful engineering consultants appointed”.

Business Coach Helps Company Win International Award

Marketing Derby Bondholder ActionCOACH is celebrating after helping a client win a Business Excellence Award at a ceremony in Lisbon, Portugal.
Derbyshire-based business solutions company eBECS Ltd, were named ‘Fastest Growing Company’ for 2013 after growing staff by more than 70 employees and increasing profitability by 200%.
