Regeneration Area For Sale

One of Derby’s best known city centre sites has been put up for sale through Marketing Derby Bondholder Rigby & Co.
The 1.3 acres Duckworth Square site, is one of the largest sites in single ownership in the city centre, and is also at the centre of one of Derby City Council’s priority regeneration projects, namely, the Becketwell Development Zone.
Russell Rigby, Director at Rigby & Co. said, “There is a great deal of planning flexibility attached to the site which could be used for retail, offices, hotel, leisure or residential uses,”
“A national marketing campaign has been launched to raise the profile of the site and we are working closely with the City Council and Marketing Derby to give ourselves the best chance of attracting as much interest as possible.”

Bondholders Set To Love East Midlands
|
|
Donington Park Race Circuit will be the venue for the Love Business East Midlands event held next Tuesday, on Valentine’s Day. The aim of the event is to inspire the business community and highlight the many successes within the East Midlands region.
Derby will be well represented with no fewer than 9 Marketing Derby Bondholders taking part in the event.
The Conference Works, University of Derby, Geldards, East Midlands Airport, East Midlands Trains and The Finnesse Collection are all partners of the event, with The QUAD and Derby College also exhibiting.
The event will be formally opened by George Cowcher, Chief Executive at fellow Marketing Derby Bondholder, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce. There will also be free business seminars throughout the day as well as a presentation by the Paralympics Committee on the 2012 London Olympic Games.

Raise Money For Local Charities

Marketing Derby Bondholder Cooper Parry have launched this year’s Cooper Parry Business Team Challenge which will take place on Sunday 1st April at Pride Park Stadium.
Last year, over 80 businesses from across the East Midlands entered the event raising over £12,000 for a number of charities in the region.
The challenge, which is part of the Derbyshire Building Society Derby 10k, has been organised by Cooper Parry with the aim of encouraging firms to use the event as a way to promote a healthier lifestyle within the workplace.
Entrants in the Cooper Parry Business Team Challenge will enjoy hospitality in the exclusive Pedigree Suite overlooking Pride Park Stadium, race t-shirt, team photo, prize-giving, a designated massage area and a supervised baggage area.

Tickets are now also available for the QUAD Charity Auction Night that is being held at the Cathedral Quarter Hotel on Thursday 1st March, in aid of activities such as the ‘Q Club’ which supports young people with autism.
Attendees will get the chance to bid for several high quality items including the original script for the classic film ‘Kes’ autographed by legendary Director Ken Loach. Celebrity Auctioneer Graham Penny will be carrying out the auction itself.

Global Recognition & Success for Derby-based Companies

Marketing Derby Bondholder Flint Bishop Solicitors has been shortlisted for the “Best use of Technology to Enhance the Client Relationship” for the MPF European Leadership Awards 2012.
The awards, ran by The Managing Partners’ Forum, is a member-led professional body, dedicated to enhancing leadership and effectiveness of management teams in professional firms.
Flint Bishop has been shortlisted for the award for their online FB support system which allows companies to access information about legal advice, HR and health and safety support at any time.
The Derby-based solicitors is also the only law firm shortlisted that isn’t headquartered in either London or any other major European city.

In other news, Derby-based telecoms services provider TTG has been listed on The Sunday Times Deloitte Buyout Track 100 league table.
The company, which was positioned 84th, reported last year that their international sales were up 39% on the previous year – with 51% of the group’s business coming from USA, Australia, China and the Middle East.
