Charity Ball Raises Thousands of Pounds
Saturday 24th March
Friday night saw the inaugural City Mayor's Charity Ball raise over £17,000 for charity.
The night, which included a three course meal, live music, dancers, magicians and casino tables, also included a silent and live auction.
Prizes in the live auction included a VIP experience at Derby County Football Club's last match of the season to a signed running shoe by Usain Bolt. Combined with ticket sales, sponsorship and a table raffle - the final total of money raised for the Mayor's charities was £17,250.
The three local charities the money will go to are: The Neo-Natal Intensive Unit, Diabetes Research and the Children's Mental Health Services - all based at the Royal Derby Hospital.

Special Guest Performance to Entertain Ball Attendees
Wednesday 21st March
The City Mayor's Charity Ball is set to be the stage for a special guest performance.
Entertainment on the night will also come from the Ockbrook Big Band, dance group Hoverlo and some real 'Hustlers' teaching people the art of public deception!

Bondholders Donate Top Raffle Prizes
Monday 19th March
Marketing Derby Bondholders have kindly donated prizes for the raffle and auction for this week's City Mayor's Charity Ball.
Amongst the many, exclusive packages on offer on the night, Westfield Derby has donated gift vouchers worth £500 towards the table raffle.
The silent auction held on the night will also see prizes such as a holiday in Barbados for two, an ultimate British Motor Racing event and an expert wine-tasting experience for upto 20 people.

Top Auction Items Announced for Charity Ball

Top auction items have been announced for the City Mayor's Charity Ball next Friday.
One of the highlights of the night will be a live auction between shirts signed by Pele and Messi to determine who is the best footballer.
Other Prizes include a holiday for two to Barbados, an Ultimate British Motor Racing event and an Expert wine tasting experience for upto 20 people.

City Mayor's Charity Ball Sold Out!

The Mayor of Derby, Derby City Council and Marketing Derby have announced that the City Mayor's Charity Ball next week is SOLD OUT!
Within four weeks of releasing details, over 400 tickets have been sold to businesses as well as the general public for the black-tie event held at The Roundhouse. Now the emphasis is on raising money for the Mayor's three local charities.
As well as a three course meal, attendees will have the pleasure of seeing performances from top local musicians and entertainers, as well as having the luxury of playing on casino tables.
There will also be various fund raising activities including a silent auction using new technologoy and a live auction from a mystery guest.
